Instruction to Use

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure the subfloor is free of dust, oil, grease, and any other contaminants by thoroughly cleaning it.
2. Thin set Mixing: Measure the required water based on the manufacturer's instructions and pour it into a clean bucket.
   Add the recommended amount of thin set powder and mix with a drill mixer until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved.
   Allow the mixture to slake for 5-10 minutes to allow the additives to activate.
3. Thin set Application: Spread a thin layer of the thin set onto the prepared surface using the flat side of the trowel. Then, use the notched side of the trowel to create ridges in the thin-set at a consistent angle.
4. Tile Installation: For large format tiles (over 12 inches), apply thin-set directly to the back of the tile (back buttering) to improve bonding. It's generally recommended to back-butter all tiles for better adhesion.
5. Tile Setting: Place the tile firmly onto the notched thin-set surface. Use a tapping motion with a rubber mallet to ensure full contact and proper level.
6. Adhesive Coverage: Ensure the backside of each tile is fully covered with thin set for optimal adhesion.
7. Cleaning: Regularly remove excess thin set from the tile surface with a damp sponge to prevent staining. Additionally, clean the spaces between the tiles to prepare for grouting.
8. Grouting: After the thin set has cured (typically 24 hours), apply grout to the spaces between the tiles following the manufacturer's recommendations.
